?We are now looking for an Interim Researcher to join our Product Safety and Purity team. As a Researcher you have various of tasks and will be responsible for the entire process. You will support the development of new materials as well as supporting our production units. As a member of the Product Safety and Purity team you will be providing services to customers with a special focus on chemical purity and product safety. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the instrumental analyses and experimental methodology for critical product requirements, assessing test results, and communicating with stakeholders.
Your location will be in Karlstad at our Research Center and you will be working in Packaging Materials Division. You will report to Manager Product Safety and Purity. ?
Who are we looking for???
?We are looking for a person, who have very good experience of analytical chemical work and specifically of GC-MS. Your proficiency is based on a master’s degree in chemistry or analytical chemistry. You have excellent skills in English, the ability to act independently and with good own initiative and accuracy. You have good analytical skills and ability to collaborate in project work with colleagues within and outside Stora Enso's research organization. Experience from the forest industry is an asset, but not a requirement for this position.

Responsibility
The Product Safety and Purity team is part of the global product safety network within Stora Enso Packaging Material, with representatives from each production unit and research centres within the division. Tasks involve supporting the development of new material as well as supporting the continuous production at the production units. As a member of the Product Safety and Purity team you will be contributing actively R&D-projects to coordinate product safety and purity testing, interpreting food contact legislation, evaluating product safety information from suppliers and maintaining our database, assessing test results, and communicating with stakeholders.
The position requires good interpersonal and cultural skills and the ability to structure your tasks.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have a master’s degree in relevant science (e.g. chemistry), combined with experience of project work. In addition, you have experience with food contact legislation and product stewardship/regulatory compliance management role in the supply chain.
You have excellent skills in English, the ability to act independently and with good own initiative and accuracy. Very good analytical ability and ability to collaborate in project work with colleagues within and outside Stora Enso's research organization is needed. Good overall understanding of the research area and its importance for the operations of Stora Enso, as well as overall industry knowledge is also needed.
