TasksYour main task is to manage the R&D team, Product Safety and Purity, located at both RCI and RCK, with special focus on developing high performing operational services in product safety and purity, allocate the department resources and competencies for execution of tasks, assignments and projects with customer focus. Supply strategic R&D, innovation projects and mills with special services of product safety and purity. Moreover, you will develop, plan and implement work flow efficient procedures, based on LEAN principles. Planning and developing the team’s competencies, resources and cost follow-up will also be a part of this position, as well as supporting the creation of R&D contracts with strategic R&D partners and customers, joint development agreements; external R&D mapping in the Research Area and taking part in steering groups in relevant internal and external forums. This position includes approximately 30 days of business travel per year.RequirementsYou have a master’s degree or corresponding knowledge, combined with a minimum of 7 years of experience in R&D and/or management in the pulp and paper industry. Human resources related competence is also necessary. Excellent skills in English is a requirement, as is proficiency in MS Office tools. Swedish and/or Finnish language skills are a merit. You have good knowledge of Stora Enso products, its processing, cost-base and end-use. You also have good analytical, co-operative and leadership skills and you can maintain and develop a world-wide network in pulp and paper R&D, catch and sell ideas and projects within Stora Enso.
